Here we will discus the position of the objects with respect to other objects. The objects should be more than two in number.
In the figure below the nearest and farthest position can discussed in the case of dogs as they are three in number but not in the case of birds as they are two in number.
The 
labelled C is nearest to the tree.
The labelled E is farthest from the tree.
